As long as ASC's ASCBoot functions are disabled, you'll be just fine

Hmmmm Yeah I think I read that as well.... However like you, I am running my server with the both running and don't see any problems. There might be problems, but they are invisable to me...

first of all, thanks Baiter for this awesome work .
after playing long time UT2k4, with some of my friends we decided to bring back old style fun for some lan parties. i know my questions will be almost noobish , but been long time since i've seen UTClassic's ini files.

1- i try to run this server on lan , maybe sometimes on net. but in both cases, clients get an error on connect " downloading EUT1_G is not allowed" . how can i fix this?

2- i can setup redirection in the same machine with server (when playing on lan) but there are lots of mutators on the server . i have seen quite enough of information about your server edition. but there is no explanation on Client requirements. what mutators/mods do the clients have to install to join this server (think its a fresh install) ? (also dont count in the maps, i will have the maps get copied from the server )

its been long time since we played UT classic. and i did not dare running a server because many of things have changed since then . this package was the thing we were looking for .will be fun again to have it in Lan parties. thanks a lot.

edit : downloaded ver 2 . more noobish problem. i have edited all admin names and and passwords but still cant log in webadmin

I believe a redirect is already set, so clients will automaticly download missing files. Now it could be that the redirect is down (or maybe it isn't set yet) and your server won't allow users to download files from the server itsself. That could probably result in 1.

And if you're playing over a lan, you should be able to the use -lanplay or -lan (don't know exactly) on your command line.

For the webadmin you probably need to edit the SWA config file, should be in the system directoy.

thx kawaii , that should solve the thing .
a redirect is already set by Baiter in the config, but it seems like my client crushing on every download. i wasnt be able to download a single file net. it gives the same error message on every server i try to connect. strange .

first it i patched to 4.36 then 4.51 but didnt fix the thing.

and SWAconig file doesnt have anything related the admin password.

Hello to everyone here, obviously I'm new here with this being post #1 for me. I just got the Baiter Edition up and running this morning and thought I'd throw the address out for anyone who wouldn't mind checking it out. I'm just wondering how well it works with more than one person on it

Well for anyone who reads the previous post, scratch it. The server machine is apparently infected with a variation of the Trojan.dropper virus so were offline till I get it resolved.

I know that, but I just left it there for the time being while I'm configuring everything the way I want it. It'll change eventually

. But yes, it serves as respect too as one saves alot of time by having a ready made server such as the one you put together.

Just wanted to follow up the last post. Everything is resolved and The LoA is alive again and for good hopefully. I apologize to anyone who used the server address I posted before, completely forgot no static ip=ip changes. I will be moving in a few days and new setup will have a static ip, so I'm leaving the server name exactly as seen here until I move for anyone who wants to check it out.

under DM or ChaosUT

On a side note, this server appears to have very good performance potential, should run 8+ no problem, very smooth. But I suppose I'll find this out in time.

hi all ive just dloaded the serva thks and i have a couple of problems

1 i cannot get into web admin no mater what i do ive changed all the passes everwhere and still cant get in i can get to the login box but in the server consol it just says unatherised ive tried altering ports switching firwalls on and off but still no luck
2when in the game i cannot use my admin bot it says i have to leave the server to use it

what would be the point in that can i switch this off ??

1st , duplicate post dude, follow your own thread , my answer about webadmin is there .
2- how do login in game while u can't , on webadmin? and for sure, i checked it out and didn't do the same for me? i can login as admin without any problems.

when i couldent get into web admin i went into the server logged on and entered the syntax

Admin get UTServerAdmin.UTServerAdmin AdminUsername
Admin get UTServerAdmin.UTServerAdmin AdminPassword

and then i was really confused

as the login and pass were the correct 1ns but i still couldent get in

Can someone Please help me.I have this server installed on windows 2003.The server runs very nice and i have any problems except for one thing.
I can not log into the remote admin.I tried from the server and i tried from my at home computer.I looked in all the ini and changed the user and pass info and i can not figure this out.
I really like this server alot but i just cant login to the remote admin.I followed all the directions using ip and port and /serveradmin and type in my password and it dont go.says unouthorized.I tried explorer.mozilla and nothing.
Please help

follow these steps then your done with your Baiter edition Server :
(as every step changes login port, i recommend you to use the same machine with UT server )
1- delete (rename) your Swaconfig.ini
2- run your server, and login with username " admin " and pass " admin " from port 5000 .
3- create your sub-admins or users , and change your password for your own good.
4- shut the server down, and edit swaconfig for login port if you like. default is 8888 , even in newly created file, after your second run, it wont start from 5000 , mind that.
