Movie Demo Manager 1.1 release (with UTDC fix)
Taken from the readme :
Quote:
--- About ---
MovieDemoManager is a version of UsAaR33's demo manager modified specially
for UT movie makers by Poema. You can find out more about it's features
on this web site :
http://gkc.forum.free.fr/moviedemomanager/
This small update contains some fixes and enhancements added to the original
demo manager by Anthrax in October of last year. I decided to add these to
movie demo manager to avoid having several versions floating around.
These fixes (see the changelog) correct some issues caused by UTDC v1.7 and
UTPure. Demo fans will be pleased to find out that this addresses the UTDC
crashing bug while restoring the HUD and Flag display.
There are sure to be some new enhancements for moviemakers in future so don't
hesitate to offer suggestions or eventually submit some code that could be
added. Enjoy and get working on your movie .
--- Changelog ---
= 2005-03-23 =
* [CHANGED] : Poema's and Anthrax's code merged
* [ADDED] : CleanHUD integrated into Demo Manager.
= 2005-10-26 =
* [ADDED] : Option to destroy illegal actors (such as the UTDC native check that crashes demos)
* [FIXED] : Fixed Scoreboard and HUD problems in 3rd person demos (Pure7G related)
* [FIXED] : Fixed Camera cycling problems in 3rd person demos (Pure7G related)
* [CHANGED] : Cleaned up big parts of the code

There, just finished modifying and compiling this yesterday. Note that there are few bugs with, for example, the pickup and multikill messages. But this should be fixed later.
Feel free to post comments or bug reports.

I tried the dud file and it doesn't work for me. I think this is because some function calls of UTDC are embedded in the netcode that's recorded in demo files. The crash occurs at the exact moment UTDC starts checking players when a second player has entered or when warmup mode has ended. What this version of demo manager does is kill the actor before it has a chance to do that.
For the first error message, do you have the UTDCv17c.u and UTDCv17c.dll files present in your system folder ? It's essential that the dll is there so UTDC can bind to it.
For this error :
Quote:
Critical: Ran out of virtual memory. To prevent this condition, you must free up

I'm willing to bet that you have a corrupted UTPure file somewhere causing a runaway loop or something. Put your existing files in a safe place and download a fresh copy of UTPure.

worked! copied original UTDCv17c.u and UTDCv17c.dll onto the system folder, using MDM 1.1 and playbacks nicely. one thing though, when behindview 1 im stuck in seeing half my player and cant view around, and also i cant switch to freecam position maybe i should try rypel cam??
*EDIT* i cant seem to use certain functions, such as ghost (i do it in console just to be sure of it: "u feel ethereal, ghost moem enabled") but by pressing W a lot of MDM info appears
yes im using DemoRecordingDevice=udemo.uDemoDriver in UnrealTournament.ini (im not using movieunreal yet) and UTDC and UTPure files are in system folder). there are also a moviedemo.ini
*EDIT 2* OK i found the "o" key (changeperspective) and.. it works!!! hehe

Again, make sure you replace the UTPureRC7G.u with a fresh copy downloaded off the net. For the rest, I might need to have a look at the demo.

That is a strange error. It is happening when demo manager is trying to get the list of demos I think. Uudnative is something that is part of the original demo manager.
Have you just installed this or overwritten an existing demo manager ?
Edit :
Code:
// ============================================================
// udemo.udnative: By UsAaR33. native class which allows the reader to get a list of demos and their sizes.
// also can delete demos and rename them, as well as a cool analysis :)
// Note, this was the first native class. Now two otehrs exist in the udemo pacakge (as of ud 3.0).
// However, this is still the native class used by the actual manager windows.
// ============================================================

My UT won't even start when I put the files in place. Crashes when leaving the intro thingy.

Hmm, sorry about that. This seems to be generalized problem so I'll have to look into it when I have time next month. Are you up for some testing then ? I'm using this version of demo manager to make a movie so there must be something causing it to crash like this.

Ah, that's a clue. Anthrax's code is actually included in this demo manager. Perhaps I messed something up when fusing the two, or there's a conflict somewhere. I have to admit that I haven't gone through all the code as it would take me ages and I'm not experienced enough with uscript.

Right, I just did a fresh install of UT and I get the same message. I'll see if I can sort this out.

Okidoke. Could someone test this replacement u file ? It would seem that I recompiled the source at the last minute and it somehow got borked.
