[UT2003/UT2004/Release] Unlagged InstaGib
Description
"Unlagged InstaGib" is a server-side mutator that should be used in combination with an InstaGib to compensate a client's ping serversidely, i.e. it's not like ZeroPing for UT and it's not like the Ping Compensation mutator I released a while back.
Installation
Simply extract the content of the ZIP file to your server's System directory. The mutator does not have any configurable options and should NOT be added to the ServerPackages list. Clients will not be able to (or need to, anyway) download the package.
To start your server with Unlagged InstaGib, add the mutator and an InstaGib mutator to your server's startup commandline. The following line for example:
ucc server DM-Antalus?game=XGame.xTeamGame?mutator=XGame.MutInst aGib,UnlaggedInstaGib.MutUnlaggedInstaGib
...will start a TDM server on DM-Antalus with the InstaGib mutator and unlagging enabled.

Since we've installed this, I've heard a few players stating that their game crashed. I don't know if they're getting any kind of errors though so I don't have any further info that might be helpful but it would happen in the middle of a game for what it's worth.
Also while I can't say it's for certain the mutator the server does seem to experience some form of lag now and then that wasn't happening just before installing this. It'll affect everybody when it happens where everyone will skip for a second.
As for gameplay the server I play on I usually get about a 44 ping so I can't say it's helped much and I didn't really expect it to. The game did feel different. I couldn't put my finger on it exactly but it was different. Unless I've gotten slow in the last few days(always possible) some of those pinging around 100 seem to be benefitting from this as they seem to have gotten more accurate since the install.
I don't know if we'll keep it on the server or not but thanks for putting this out. It'll be interesting to see how everyone likes it.

I don't believe it's Unlagged InstaGib's fault that a client crashes, because neither the mutator nor any other classes of the pacage exist clientsidely.
If you experience a strange kind of lag, check the serverlog for Accessed None warnings. Note that the mutator might not be entirely compatible with custom InstaGib rifles. I can only say that it'll work with the iCTF gametype, the InstaGib mutator, Zoom InstaGib and the two InstaGib 2k3 mutators.

Well I have uploaded and tested it Wormbo and it lags the gun and frankley lags everything. So it no works with XxxXESRv2i !!

That's what we're using too...I don't have any Accessed None errors but as Tech said, there does seem to be some form of lag now and again on our server.
To me, it feels more like zp, which I have missed in 2k4.

We had some people who complained that the game felt more laggy but others including me who didn't see the lag except for an occassion rare spike. I think it was a matter of them just getting used to a different feel. In their own words which was pretty funny some said "I have to lead shots different" or "When I shoot like I always have, I'm missing them." Well, duh!
Of course those who have played pretty often since then aren't complaining at all now and doing every bit as good as before it was installed. There might be a whine every now and then but it's usually after they were upset that someone with a much higher ping is now shooting them more than they used to.
In other words these guys simply aren't used to the change and are now further embarrassed that not only are they having trouble re-adjusting their shots but that those they used to dominate more are now keeping a better pace with them.
Of course I can't speak with authority that this is the case with your server...maybe there is a problem but as Dixie said, we're running it and not seeing any problem like that other than the occassional rare spike.

I used the original unlagged instagib mutator for a while and it kicked ass. I upgraded to the 2k4 version which seemed to work fine for a few days till it freaked out with a full server. First shot would come out fine, then players couldn't shoot or shot would come out extremely late. I went back to the original.

Something that I'm willing to admit might simply be my imagination is that it seems like I notice this mutator seems to be more effective on a lesser manned server. I noticed last night when we played with the server maxed at 9v9 that I questioned whether the mutator was even on and running but when we got down to 4v4 I could tell right away that the feel was different.
The server itself doesn't necessarily lag at 9v9 but the feel was much different than say 4v4.

That was an alpha version that moved the actual players around instead of a separate collision cylinder. It worked ok-ish, but UTPlus serverside Ping Compensation and this Unlagged InstaGib mutator leave the actual player positions alone and only turn off their collision while tracing the shot.
