Default AntiNetHack

Version 2.3

What is AntiNetHack?

This is a server mutator that stops people changing their netspeed
in-game. It will suicide anyone that tries. After a set amount of
attempts it will kick the offender.

It will also kick people for using too low netspeed.

USAGE:

     Settings are set in the AntiNetHack.ini. They can be now set in-game.

 COMMANDS:

     Mutate AntiNetHack : give some info on settings and player list with netspeeds.

 Admin Commands:

     Mutate AntiNetHack set MinAllowedNetSpeed N : where N is 2600 <> 20000
     Mutate AntiNetHack set CheckInterval N : how frequently checks are made in secs
     Mutate AntiNetHack set NetSpeedKickCount N : number of netspeed changes to kick on
     Mutate AntiNetHack set BigMessages N : whether to display big messages = 0, 1, 2

 INSTALL:

 Put the lines:

 ServerActors=AntiNetHack23.AntiNetHack
 ServerPackages=AntiNetHack23

 in your server's ini

 Then set up the AntiNetHack.ini:

 CheckInterval       How often checks are made in seconds. Default 3.

 NetSpeedKickCount   After how many times does someone get kicked for changing
                     netspeed. Default 5. 0 to not kick at all, although UTPure
                     will kick if you are running it.

 MinAllowedNetspeed  Players with less than this ns will be kicked.

 BigMessages             Which messages to display:
                     0 = off
                     1 = suicides for netspeed change
                     2 = 1 + kicks

UTPure only kicks after so many changes. This will suicide you and stop the change. There are also a few things like flag glow and no smoke that it takes care of too.

We're running it, and our server.log is filling up with this

ScriptWarning: Checker DM-DarknessFalls.Checker9 (Function AntiNetHack.Checker.Tick:002A) Accessed None

on every map.

What do I put in the server ini file to stop this from being logged?

Suppress=ScriptWarning?
Or is there a more specific reference, or can a AntiNetHackNoLog be made?

Damn I thought I fixed those. I will have to have to have a look at it. I've had a request to make the minimum netspeed configurable anyway.

Tickle I think you may be using an old version - there is no tick function in the latest.

Anyway I am currently updating it to kick people without minimum allowed netspeed, so there will be a new version up soon.

Wow, we were running an old one, I guess. It was really small, and didn't even have an ini file. I'll run it and remove the suppression and get back to you on this.

Okay, put the new one in, removed suppression, and I guess you have to have more than one person on the server for it to work, so I have no idea.

BUT, check this out. Suddenly we now have this:

THAT'S logging.

Even with script warnings suppressed.

Ok I've just updated to v1.1:

Added option (in ini) to kick people with too low netspeed.
Fixed a bug that would keep counting the netspeed hack when dead and would kick from server if the player didn't respawn in time.

Just tested and am having issues with the NetSpeedKickCount= function not working correctly for me. I am setting it to 1 and it will not work.

It seems to be stuck at 5 changes before it will kick. Will test further for connection and time issues.

Edit, here is some of the log. The mut does not seem to be playing well with utpure. Also I noticed that you have a server package entry but that it does not show up in the mutator list. Are you perhaps missing a file of some sort??

The only problem that I found is when running the DynamicActorLoader which it doesn't look like you are. The actor needs adding to DynamicActorLoader config instead of ServerActors.

I couldn't find any other problem. It may depend on the ServerActor order. Also note that now it will not affect a player when waiting for a game to start. You must have spawned for it to work.
