[UT200x/Release] Secure Controller v3
Secure Controller locks down certain features of the so-called PlayerController class, i.e. the UnrealScript class in UT200x that controller the player character in the game. This will prevent most script aimbots and script wall hacks from working correctly.
Secure Controller 2k4 v3 is identical to the secured PlayerController class in Anti TCC v1.18.
Secure Controller is not compatible to TTM200x, UTComp or any other mod that needs to replace the PlayerController. It will work fine with any version of UTSecure or Anti TCC, though.

Is the 2k4 version of SecureController standard server friendly?
Is the 2k4 version of SecureController standard server friendly? Also, why is the 2k4 version called SecureController2k3?

SecureController2k4 is standard server friendly, but if your version is called SecureController2k3 you obviously downloaded the UT2003 version instead.
Also, please don't make a new thread for asking the same questions every time. This is something that would fit into the release thread, which is why I'll merge this thread into it.

Ok, well then you need to fix the 2k4 link, because it points to the k3 version, I had to guess the 2k4 link, and it worked.

Hmm, it seems the link on my homepage pointed to the incorrect directory, but the server (instead of giving a 404) guessed the "correct" name and came up with the UT2003 version.

Weird. Make sure it says " * Securing PlayerControllers, compatibility mode for rotation lock" in the server log when you test the bRotationCompatibility option.

i didn't check that..but i did verify the setting stuck in the ini.. i'll grab my log when i get home
(that's my server log)
**edit.. also can you tell me what i am giving up by running v2 instead of v3? I have had a botter come in and successfully bot while using v2...does v3 prevent this?

SecureController 2k4 v2 has this weird fog flickering probably doesn't successfully prevent script triggerbots and script wallhacks.

If the configuration option doesn't work, no.

Suggestion, i think secure controler should keep a log of players that connect and dis connect, sort of like anti tcc, it should include the player's name, the player's ip and the player's player id. This way when ppl come to me and say ppl r being an ass in trying to fake their way into our clan or threatning to spam our clan forums with gay porn, I can ban the loser even if he is not connected to the server. Also wormbo, how long did it take to become godlike?

Use a player join log mod or Anti TCC if you want to keep track of IDs, SecureController really only is about securing the PlayerController.

I forget who mentioned that Secure Controller v3 may work with the latest UT2004 Demo Server version 3334 out, but has anyone been able to get it to work with the demo? Or maybe I've been hearing things?!?

You may have heard it from me. I think it should work, but I never tested it. It seems the demo doesn't allow downloads, so a client would have to install SecureController prior to connecting to the server.
